The Source of All-Pervading Good
As eÕen the silent stars confess,
The Spirit of Solicitude,
The Impulse of Unselfishness.
The Good or God within all things
The star, the tree, the blade, the clod,
The Great Jehovah King of Kings,
The Brother Christ, The Father God.
The protonÕs ever-radient sun
Within the atomÕs universe,
Tireless electrons, speeding on
Their never-ending course;
The atoms clustering in a cell
To multiply that they may give
Their powers to serve some organ well,
That eÕen the final form may live.
Thus life is born of God Intent,
The Christ Impulse, yea Love Divine;
The broken loaf, His sacrament
His precious blood--its wine.
