The 1921 production featured famed Shakespearean actress Virginia Calhoun, who had written, produced, and starred in the first dramatic production of Ramona, which toured the country and was a big hit.  It also starred a young D.W. Griffith.  Virginia hellped Isaac direct the 1921 production and she starred as the young wife Wahwona.  She added much to the production.
