Isaac sketched several pictures along the way.
Isaac painted this portrait of his horse, Antelope.
In 1881 he took a 3-month horseback ride to Yosemite, riding on his beloved horse, Antelope.  Although just a young cowboy at the time, he wrote an interesting diary of the trip and sketched several pictures along the way.
¥ Call attention to the humorous picture he drew of himself setting out from San Bernardino toward San Fernando to work on the Kester Ranch.
¥ In Yosemite he had a religious experience.  He saw God in Nature and resolved to become an artist to ÒpreachÓ the wonder of God in his paintings.  He hurried home, sold some land he had, and arranged to study art in Louisville, Kentucky.
